I expected the same from Malaysia's MH370 tragedy but where were the actions and also the official report so far? SEOUL: South Korea's prime minister resigned Sunday, blaming corruption and "deep-rooted evil" for the sinking of a passenger ferry that left 300 people dead or missing, as anger grows over the bungled response to the tragedy. Chung Hong-won admitted he had not been up to the task of overseeing rescue operations after the Sewol capsized with 476 people -- many of them schoolchildren -- on board. "I offer my apology for having been unable to prevent this accident from happening and unable to properly respond to it afterwards," he said. "I believed I, as the prime minister, certainly had to take responsibility and resign." Apple will fix faulty iPhone 5 models

SAN FRANCISCO: Apple on Friday offered to fix some older iPhone 5 smartphones with flawed on-off buttons. The California-based company said a "small percentage" of iPhone 5 models manufactured through March of 2013 may have on-off buttons that stop working or work intermittently, in a posting on its support website. "Apple will replace the sleep/wake button mechanism, free of charge, on iPhone 5 models that exhibit this issue and have a qualifying serial number," it said at the website. The support web page contained instructions for iPhone 5 owners, along with a way to check serial numbers to determine if smartphones qualify for free repair. The process began Friday in the US and Canada and will begin in other countries on May 2, according to Apple. Apple prides itself on the quality of its devices, and offers of free fixes are rare for the company. What will be the outcome? SAO PAULO: A summit on Internet governance kicks off in Brazil on Wednesday, aiming for a new global partnership in the wake of revelations on US online surveillance. Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff called the gathering last year amid ire worldwide stemming from the disclosures about US spying in documents leaked by Edward Snowden.
