Whitney Houston - I Look To You

A very inspirational song from Whitney Houston's latest album bearing the same title. Whitney Houston - I Look To You As I lay me down Heaven hear me now I''m lost without a cause After giving it my all Winter storms have come And darkened my sun After all that I've been through Who on earth can I turn to I look to you I look to you After all my strength is gone In you I can be strong I look to you I look to you Yeah And when melodies are gone In you I hear a song I look to you After losing my breath There's no more fighting left Sinking to rise no more Searching for that open door And every road that I've taken Lead to my regret And I don't know if I'm gonna make it Nothing to do but lift my head I look to you I look to you Yeah And when all my strength is gone In you I can be strong I look to you I look to you Oh yeah And when melodies are gone In you I hear a song I look to you (My levee's have broken, my walls have come) Coming down on me (Crumbl

No Boundaries - I prefer Adam Lambert's version

I prefer Adam Lambert's version over Kris Allen's one. Adam Lambert - No Boundaries (2009) Seconds, hours, so many days You know what you want but how long can you wait? Every moment lasts forever When you feel you lost your way And what if my chances were already gone? Started believing that I could be wrong But you give me one good reason To fight and never walk away With every step you climb another mountain Every breath it's harder to believe You make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes To get to that one thing Just when you think the road is going nowhere Just when you almost gave up on your dreams They take you by the hand and show you that you can There are no boundaries! There are no boundaries! I fought to the limit to stand on the edge What if today is as good it gets? Don't know where the future's headed But nothing's gonna bring me down I've jumped every bridge and I've run every line I've risked being saved but I always knew why

OTK and CSL made peace

OTK and CSL berkawan baik again. So fast? Intervention from Najib, I guess :) KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat and Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek have set aside their differences and agreed to work as a team. The move, Ong said, was a breakthrough that would unite the party and help resolve issues concerning its leadership. Ong read out a statement to the media in the presence of Dr Chua and other MCA leaders at the party headquarters at Wisma MCA here yesterday. This is the first time both Ong and Dr Chua have appeared together at a press conference after some time. Both have been at loggerheads since party elections last year when Ong was elected president and Dr Chua his deputy. Ong said Dr Chua had agreed to work with him without setting pre-conditions. Describing it as the "greater unity plan," Ong said it had received the blessing and support of the Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Ong said Najib had been briefed o

IJN privatisation - no way!

IJN should remains to serve the public! THE Economic Planning Unit (EPU) has not agreed or approved any privatisation plan for the National Heart Institute (IJN), says Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department overseeing the EPU. He told Malay Mail that "IJN will never be privatised" and that he was "always against it (privatising IJN)". He also refuted claims that IJN's medical director, Datuk Seri Robaayah Zambahari, will be presenting the proposed restructuring plan to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Tuesday. There were also claims that Robaayah was expected to be appointed the IJN Hospital chief executive officer on a one-year contract. "Whatever the allegations, they are all wrong. I have always been against the privatisation of IJN," he said. "The allegations are making it look like I'm the one pushing for its privatisation," added Nor Mohamed, who was also alleged to have consented to IJN&

Greenday - 21 Guns

Greenday - 21 Guns Do you know what's worth fighting for? When it's not worth dying for? Does it take your breath away and you feel yourself suffocating? Does the pain weigh out the pride? And you look for a place to hide? Did someone break your heart inside, you're in ruins One, 21 Guns Lay down your arms Give up the fight One, 21 Guns Throw up your arms into the sky You and I ... When you're at the end of the road And you lost all sense of control And your thoughts have taken their toll When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul Your faith walks on broken glass and the hangover doesn't pass Nothing's ever built to last, you're in ruins One, 21 Guns Lay down your arms Give up the fight One, 21 Guns Throw up your arms into the sky You and I ... Did you try to live on your own? When you burned down the house and home? Did you stand too close to the fire? Teoh Inquest: 80% chance of homicide, says Dr Pornthip

SHAH ALAM : There is an 80% probability that the death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock was a homicide, said renowned Thai forensic pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand. Testifying in the inquest into Teoh's death Wednesday, she said there was only a 20% chance that Teoh had committed suicide. She added that marks on Teoh's neck region looked like he had been strangled manually. "The contusion of the skin on the right side of the neck looks round, indicating it might have been caused by fingers," she added. Counsel representing the government Tan Hock Chuan then suggested that she did not have the locus standi to arrive at her opinion. "Since you did not conduct the post mortem or inspect the body or go to the scene of the incident and not furnished with the report and photos, is it not appropriate to form an opinion on mathematical terms that suicide is 20% and homicide 80%?" he asked. Dr Pornthip replied she did not take sides and he

MCA 2009 Battle 3

New twist: Cracks in Liow-Ong ties In another twist to the MCA saga - Liow Tiong Lai, who was appointed party deputy president less than three hours ago, appears to be at loggerheads with his boss, Ong Tee Keat. At a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, the health minister indicated that he was against the idea of holding fresh party elections as suggested by Ong. “The central committee has discussed this, but most of us do not agree.” liow tiong lai pc 151009 03Until yesterday, Liow was considered a strong ally of the embattled president, who has earlier today invoked his presidential powers to call for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to be held within 30 days. Ong ordered MCA secretary-general Wong Foon Meng to convene an EGM following opposition from central committee members, who met this afternoon, to the proposal of fresh elections to solve the debilitating party crisis. Liow acknowledged that it was the president's right to call for the EGM under article 30.1 of the part

MCA 2009 Battle 2

Unhappy sequel awaits MCA ANALYSIS The leadership vacuum in the MCA has created greater uncertainty in the party and tension among second-echelon leaders as to who should take over. This will intensify the wrangle not just for the vacant posts, but for the bigger reward of ministerial portfolios that victory will bring. azlanInstead of settling the long-running feud between the top two, last Saturday's EGM has only widened the rift in the party. Wits in the vernacular press have already dubbed the loss of confidence in president Ong Tee Keat and the sacking of his deputy Dr Chua Soi Lek as Goreng Kang (Ong) and Kong (Chua). Veteran leaders and Chua's supporters are pressing for the mass resignation of central committee (CC) members - especially those appointed by Tee Keat - and for fresh polls which could see a comeback for them. They argue that the central delegates had vetoed Tee Keat's leadership as well as the collective decision to suspend Chua's membership. Chua a

MCA 2009 Battle 1

Final reckoning for Ong Tomorrow is "D-day" for the MCA's central committee. It will decide on the next course of action in the leadership succession of the party following a no-confidence motion against its president Ong Tee Keat and the rejection of Chua Soi Lek as his deputy by central delegates at last Saturday's EGM. Stanley Koh (right) talks to Malaysiakini on several critical issues and goings-on surrounding this power tussle and the leadership succession problem currently facing the party. Malaysiakini: What is likely to take place tomorrow at the central committee meeting? stanley koh interview 150108 seriousKoh (right): Ong Tee Keat's stepping down is a foregone conclusion and the first order of the day will be the formal tendering of his resignation letter to the central committee. As is the norm, he is likely to address the committee and spell out his reasons for resigning, thanking everyone for the past short year of cooperation and leave the meeting.

LDP upgrade - bypass TTDI and Bandar Utama

The project involves the construction of a two-lane flyover for northbound traffic from Puchong heading towards Kepong. The project also includes an underpass from TTDI to Bandar Utama and Kepong. This means motorists from Kelana Jaya to Kepong will be able to escape the traffic at the TTDI and Bandar Utama areas by using the flyover. The project also includes the widening of the northbound sliproads. Litrak is the concessionaire for the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP). On the RM300 million upgrading work along the LDP, Sazally said the first stage in Puchong Perdana, Puchong Intan and Kampung Baru Puchong would begin next month. "The first phase will cost around RM110 million. The project will be carried out in four stages and it is expected to be completed in 2012. "The work includes widening the road and providing additional lanes and ramps," he said during Litrak's Hari Raya open house at its operations complex yesterday. Source: NST

Barack Obama wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

I agree that Obama has not delivered any significant result yet and merely propagating his vision for the "new" America, however his message is very influencing and raised hope to many. OSLO: President Barack Obama on Friday won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the Norwegian Nobel Committee said. "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future ," the committee said. " His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population." Obama's name had been mentioned in speculation before the award but many Nobel watchers believed it was too early to award the president. The committee said it attached special importance to Obama's vis

MCA EGM: No clear winner

Or should I say all loser? KUALA LUMPUR : MCA delegates made dramatic decisions at the party EGM on Saturday. The vote of no confidence against Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat got through by 14 votes. His suspended deputy, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, failed to be reinstated as deputy president but was voted back as a member. Party officials said the dramatic decisions of the delegates at the EGM would mean that they now need to look at the party constitution. Under the Constitution, a party president can only be removed by a two-thirds of the delegates' votes. Ong told reporters that he respected the results of the EGM. He also said that the MCA Central Committee and Presidential Council will have to discuss the results. Results of the voting on the three resolutions: Resolution 1: That the members of the general assembly have no confidence in the leadership of president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat. Adopt: 1155 Reject: 1141 Margin: 14 Resolution 2: That the presidential council's decisio

Finding remedies for severe sore throat pain

Initially I just ate lemon, supplements and fruits. But the condition getting worst. I have no choice but to consume antibiotics (Amoxyl), gargle with salt water and eat throat lozenges. I even resorted to 2 x Panadol 500 mg to reduce the pain. Along the way, I found some remedy tips here and here . The second link suggesting a gargle using a mixture of mouthwash like Listerine and hydrogen peroxide. Hmmm ... will give it a try once I manage to get hydrogen peroxide from pharmacy.

Egg price dropped

Good news for consumer. Speaking about egg, though I try to reduce egg consumption for health reason, no doubt it easily make up a meal on its own and a "good partner" with other dish like fried tomato carrot egg and baked beans meals. KUALA LUMPUR : Chicken eggs will cost less in Peninsular Malaysia from Monday said the Federation of Livestock Farmers' Associations of Malaysia. In a statement, it said the price of Grade AA eggs would be 24.5 sen each compared to 26.5 sen at the moment. AS1M status

Looks like it's not that hot selling as what I expected earlier. Maybe due the low return rate of 3.7%?
