BWF 'Provisionally Suspends' Lee Chong WeiLee Chong Wei, the world's top badminton player, has been provisionally suspended for allegedly violating antidoping regulations.
The Badminton World Federation said Tuesday it imposed the suspension due to an adverse analytical finding of a sample taken from the Malaysian player at the BWF World Championships, the sport's most prestigious tournament, held in Denmark in August.
The case against Lee was reported previously, but the BWF and Badminton Association of Malaysia could only officially reveal his name on Tuesday after the imposition of the temporary suspension.
Lee has said he has never cheated or used banned substances.
BAM Deputy President Norza Zakaria said on Saturday that one of its players had tested positive dexamethasone, which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list. However, Mr. Norza said the substance isn't a performance-enhancing drug and that this player hadn't resorted to shortcuts to achieve success.

Wonder what will be the outcome? I am hoping the best for Chong Wei.
