I stumbled upon this while bracing the hardship at this foreign country early this year.

At the same time can so easily become a pair of enemies.
也許相愛很難
Perhaps loving each other is really hard
就難在其實雙方各有各寄望
Hard in the sense that both actually have different hopes and aspirations.

What can possibly be done?

One-sided love is also hard
受太大的禮會內疚卻也無力歸還
Receiving too much will cause guilt, yet there's no ability to give back.

Maybe it’s easier never to love at all
但如未成佛昇仙也會怕
But I have not yet become a saint and I still fear
愛情前途黯淡
the future of love will be dim.

To love or not to love are both hard
未快樂先有責任給予對方面露歡顏
Before my own happiness, I first have the responsibility to ensure the other a face full of joy
得到浪漫 又要有空間
Gotten romance, but now we also need space
得到定局 卻怕去到終站
Having settled the situation, yet I fear that we've settled at our final stop
然後付出多得到少不介意豁達
And when we've given lots and received little, not concerned about the sacrifice,
又擔心 有人看不過眼＊
We then become worried that some will not be able to look over this [We are afraid of each others' opinions].

Not matter whether you are in love, or have lost love
都永遠記住第一戒 別要張開雙眼
We must always remember the first rule: Do not love with your eyes open.
