LDL Cholesterol still high

My bad cholesterol (LDL) is still slightly higher than the optimum level after 4 months. Seems like I have to discipline myself to cut eggs and fast/ junk food from my diet and could only eat seafoods sparringly as these 3 foods are the top contributor of LDL . Among seafoods , highest cholesterol level is contained in the salmon products, followed by shrimp products. Tuna fish products have in general low cholesterol content. Mayoclinic listed the top 5 foods to lower the LDL Cholesterol numbers Oatmeal and oat bran Walnuts, almonds and more Fish and omega-3 fatty acids Olive oil Foods fortified with plant sterols or stanols It also said our daily LDL cholesterol intake should not exceed 160mg .

My Nov

2 Nov - Badminton French Super Series 2008 Final. Gonnna watch the result via Live score . Er ... how come our Lee Chong Wei, the current World #1 could lost to Taufik Hidayat in the Semi-Finals? 2 Nov - An interesting write up prior to the F1 Brazilian GP . I don't really support any teams in particular though I admit I have tendency leaning towards McLaren Mercedes team but somehow dunno why I'm quite reluctant for Lewis Hamilton. I was even glad to hear that Kimi Raikkonen from Ferrari bet Hamiton in the final race last year and eventually won the F1 championship title. Too arrogant, I guess and I don't like. But being a true sports fan, I reckon the best performer ought to be the winner. So seeing the current standing and doing some analysis, I believe Lewis Hamilton will take on the title this year, creating the history by becoming the ever youngest F1 champion. We'll see.

Yummy dinner at Bumbu Bali, Puchong

At first, we plan to go for Mizzi Steamboat but alas it was full. So the 4 of us went for Bumbu Bali instead. Chicken & Lamb combo RM 26.50++ Lamb chop RM 23.50++ Siap Memanggang (BBQ Chicken) RM 23.50++ It's fragrant rice with 2 large pieces of BBQ Chicken Vegetable Pasta RM 10.50++ Since I'm on vege diet, Vegetable Pasta is my meal of the night. The pasta sauce is self made by Bumbu Bali. Well ... all of us gives thumbs up to all the food above. We'll come back next time!

Go Vege for 1 month!

Yeah, finally. Why? For many reasons but the paramount important one is for health reason. No, I won't be following the strict Vegetarian diet though as I think it's so ma fan (cumbersome) and doesn't fit into my plan (yet). Would just eat as usual but off from meat and seafood. Not sure if my self discipline (and body) can sustain. Will see how.

Olympics 2008 Badminton

Salute to 1. my idol, Lin Da n for realizing his dream to win the Olympics gold medal. I still remember how he had failed miserably 4 years ago when he was expected to win based on his dominance in the tournaments. Guess he's still young, aged 21 at that time and can't handle the high expectation upon him therefore bowed out to Ronald Susilo in the first match. And now he made his amend! 2. our very own Lee Chong Wei who had done his best and clinched the Silver medal 3. the back to back champion Zhang Ning , 33 who has beaten a much younger compatriot, Xie Xingfang, who is also happened to be Lin Dan's girlfriend. Her never say die attitude impressed me. And she cried again after the game. The same thing after she defeated Mia Audina 4 years ago. I feel so kam doong and inspired.

The greatest Olympian: Michael Phelps

It's 8: Phelps passes Spitz with another gold BEIJING (AP) - Cheering from the pool deck, Michael Phelps won his record eighth gold medal of the Beijing Games on Sunday to become the grandest of Olympic champions. Jason Lezak held on to the lead Phelps gave him, anchoring the United States to a world record in the 400-meter medley relay against an Australian team that did its best to spoil history. But Phelps, with a big hand from three teammates, would not be denied. He eclipsed Mark Spitz's seven-gold performance at the 1972 Munich Games, an iconic performance that was surpassed by a swimmer fitting of this generation: a 23-year-old from Baltimore who loves hip-hop music, texting with his buddies and wearing his cap backward. "I don't even know what to feel right now,'' Phelps said. "There's so much emotions going through my head and so much excitement. I kind of just want to see my mom.'' Debbie Phelps...
