World Cup 2010 Final: Spain beats Netherlands 1-0

I would say this was a  great final match between Spain and Netherlands with the score 1-0 only after an extra time.

Andres Iniesta scored the golden goal at the 116th minute and was crowned as the Man of the Match. Coach Vicente del Bosque did it right by substituting Pedro Rodriguez and Xabi Alonso with Jesus Navas and Cesc Fabregas respectively.

Netherlands, on the other hand had missed the best chance where Arjen Robben was at 1 to 1 with Iker Casillas but the ball saved by the Spain's goalkeeper.

The match is not without flare. Referee Howard Webb shown a total of 14 yellow cards - 9 to Netherlands and 5 to Spain with Netherlands's John Heitinga booked the second yellow leading to a red card.

Lineups:
Netherlands: Maarten Stekelenburg, Gregory van der Wiel, John Heitinga, Joris Mathijsen, Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Edson Braafheid, 105), Mark van Bommel, Nigel de Jong (Rafael van der Vaart, 99), Dirk Kuyt (Eljero Elia, 71), Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie.
Spain: Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Joan Capdevila, Sergio Busquets, Xabi Alonso (Cesc Fabregas, 87), Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Pedro Rodriguez (Jesus Navas, 60), David Villa (Fernando Torres, 106).
